i'm blessed where i am. i can't complain. i see God's goodness and his hand surrounding me. i feel so unworthy of how God's blessed me. here are some ways that i feel blessed:
God has shown me how much He cares and loves me
Things in the mail, whether letters or packages :)
Okay, i must confess, a bag of MAUI SWEET ONION chips..and Tim Cascades Salt & Vinegar chips!!!!
Google maps that can map BUS routes for me in taiwan! (even though the bus stop is 20 min walking distance, i feel like i can conquer the world with this tool!)
I enjoy going to work, I look forward to the end of the weekend and another week at work :)
Small ways of how I can connect with students
Great co-workers that make my work enjoyable!
Oolong milk tea (it tastes sooo yum!)
Weather is amazingly nice, a slight breeze and time for tea
I found those tea satchels to put loose leaf tea, and i've had two cups of my favorite, tropical roobios! excited for another cup as i do a final edit of the school newsletter.
okay....are you wondering about the blubbery and what in the world do i mean?
here's my day:
i wake up, eat breakfast, sit at my desk on the computer working on project (sometimes there are meetings), i start getting hungry, eat lunch, afternoon i work some more. i go home, cook and eat dinner and .....i go to bed. i'm usually really tired after work that i don't want to move. even a walk to the store (less than 10 min away) seems really far.
so blubbery, is a word that i've derived from blubber, the fat of whales, and i'm feeling a little round. i'm trying to run once a week, but this past week, my run was stopped early because of a game that was going on at the track i ran at. i'm hoping that i won't feel so blubbery...
hope i didn't bore you!
i'll leave you with a recent picture: Issace Wardle, son of another teacher. me :) Peggy, teacher, roommate and first overnight guest at my house!

i'll put up pics of my office next! i'll try and include a funny story with it!
i'm adjusting well, but i do miss seattle! especially since my favorite season is on! enjoy the changing fall colors for me!
Hehe, Ellen, I miss you!!!! But it's so great to hear all the blessings in your life!! Love you :-)

PS. Yes, the fall leaves are certainly amazing.
hellooooo! Always glad to hear updates. Let's skype soon.
ReplyDeleteHi Ellen, good word invention. :) I thought you meant you were crying all the time - hopefully that is not true!
ReplyDeleteIn any case, I think tiredness is normal for transitioning, especially moving AND getting a new job. When I started at Expedia I would have pounding headaches and would be so tired I could hardly think - by 1pm! It will get better.
oo
ReplyDeleteHi Ellen! Glad things are going well!! :) Potato Chips and Tea reminds me of our days at the staff house :) You certainly don't look blubbery in your photo but maybe your taught washboard stomach is starting to soften? hee hee! I think of you everytime I 'plank' :P
